SMART Announces New Multimedia Cabinets Designed for Educators
Expression™ 101 and 103 cabinets simplify classroom use and installation of AV equipment
Calgary, AB – October 22, 2003 – SMART Technologies Inc. announces two new models of Expression mobile multimedia cabinets, the 101 and the 103, designed to simplify the implementation and use of multimedia equipment in schools. The Expression 101 and 103 cabinets feature a workspace at standard countertop height (36" or 91 cm) for those who stand while teaching and a compact footprint for limited classroom space. Optional features include a flip-up shelf for additional work space and a wireless kit for SMART Board interactive whiteboards.
The 101 and 103 models are the latest additions to SMART’s line of award-winning multimedia cabinets. With Expression cabinets, teachers can store and access a computer, projector, VCR and DVD player in one convenient location. All cables are included, organized and clearly labeled within the unit, making multimedia equipment installation and maintenance quick and easy. Expression cabinets are mobile and lockable, allowing easy sharing of resources among rooms. The 103 includes the same features as the 101, with the added functionality of easily connecting a guest laptop. With the 103, users simply press a single button to toggle between the internal computer and the laptop. Both models are compatible with SMART Board™ interactive whiteboards.

Pricing and Availability
The 101 and 103 will be available in North America in November 2003 at a suggested list price of US$2,259 and US$2,659, respectively. Educational institutions may qualify for a grant worth 25 percent of the suggested list price through the SMARTer Kids™ Foundation, reducing their net purchase price to US$1,694 and US$1,994, respectively.
